1.3 Factors Influencing Comfort in Calling a Rapid Response Team

Some hospitals have a Rapid Response Team– a group of doctors, nurses, and other trained staff who respond quickly when a patient’s condition is getting much worse. In certain hospitals, patients or family members can call this team directly (sometimes called Condition Help or Medical Emergency Team) if they believe a medical emergency is being missed or the care team is not responding fast enough.
